2257 Lawsuit
January 14th, 2012
As some of you may remember, I’m a named plaintiff in the on-going lawsuit seeking to have the law commonly known as 2257 and 2257A declared unconstitutional.
There were oral arguments presented at the Federal Appeals Court level this past week. The court has posted an audio file of the arguments on their web site. It’s about an hour long, but if you listen to it you will get a very good presentation of the issues that we are trying to present in court involving this law . If you’ve wondered what 2257 is about, you will be able to learn that if you listen to this audio argument.

Very well put by the Free Speech Coalition attorney and I think the judges were helpful in point him in the right directions.
The gals arguments didn’t hold much water in terms of supporting any justification for said laws.
Thank you for sharing this with us, Dave.

I would have to say the Gov. case for the law looks a bit week. The justices themselves seemed to pick at the key issues and wording of the law.
I was interested to hear that the attorney for the Gov. was not American. Her accent sounded British.
Thanks for posting the link.

It’s no longer available in the 7 most recent cases at the link you gave. Do you have another link?

I’m sorry, but that is the court’s web site and I think they only keep the past week’s worth of cases posted on line. If you (or anyone else, for that matter) wants to listen, I downloaded the file and can e-mail it to you.
